Audubon Corkscrew Preserve
At the suggestion of birding friends in Panama, I visited this preserve. It's a wonderful pristine forest and wetland. The highlight was watching an Anhinga neck snake through the water. I've read about that behavior but never witnessed it. Barred Owls calling was a close second and, oh yeah, a long time volunteer ranger commiserate with me over the state of politics in Florida and Arizona.
